GRAEME PRICE

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Over the years, Graeme has gained a broad spectrum of knowledge within the financial services sector across a variety of roles. This is put into service to help fellow entrepreneurs use all of the levers at their disposal to accelerate the growth rate of their businesses.

Graeme chairs the Group Board, is a member of the Risk Committee, the Investment Committee, and the Sales & Marketing Committee.  He has responsibility for the overall strategy and future direction of the business.

Outside of Jarrovian, Graeme is a charity trustee and the chair of a not-for-profits organisation. In his spare time he can often be found on a course, with Cheltenham and Ascot being particular favourites, or at St James Park hoping that one day the boat will come in for Newcastle.

ADAM YOUNG

HEAD OF PRIVATE OFFICE

Adam has spent most of his career in financial services starting out at Barclays in 1984. Prior to Jarrovian Adam managed his own business, Dragonfly Planning. Adam specialises in working with families, alongside other professionals, providing perspective, clarity, and education. His role is often likened to that of a conductor of the orchestra.

At Jarrovian, as well as heading up the Private Office, Adam sits on the Group board, the Risk Committee, and chairs the Sales & Marketing Committee.

When not working, Adam spends time with his partner and two daughters, enjoying travelling, wine, rugby, and the occasional round of golf.

JULIE KITSON

TRUSTS & ESTATE SERVICES

Julie started out as a tax officer with HMRC, before moving into an advisory role within the tax department of a chartered accountancy firm. Her interest in the financial planning sector began when she assisted with the setup of a subsidiary financial advisory service, resulting in her career-changing course where she now specialises in the personal tax and trust arena. Julie’s passionate advocacy for the use of trusts in providing workable tax and estate planning solutions that can be explained in simple terms is second to none.

Julie is the Director of our Trust and Estate Services business and also sits on the Group board as well as the Sales & Marketing Committee.

Outside of work, Julie enjoys travelling, food, drink, and good company.

JAMES GLYNN

FINANCIAL PLANNER

James’ career started with a specialist pensioneer trustee, before qualifying and moving to Clydesdale Bank Private Wealth Management. When Clydesdale decided to close their wealth management business, James’ strong sense of duty towards his clients ensured they were not left without the guidance they required. CFWM was created, reflecting James’ client-centric ethics and principles. After much due diligence, James and CFWM found in Jarrovian a business with shared cultural values, and the two businesses merged.

James focuses on financial life planning for entrepreneurs and mapping out what life holds after work tapers off or ceases altogether.

James is a director of the Wealth business and sits on the Group Board. He heads up the Investment & Product Committee, sits on the Sales & Marketing and Risk Committees, as well as being head of our St. Albans office.

James and Louisa have two children. When not being a taxi driver Dad, he somehow finds time to follow Spurs, go to the gym and fit in as many gigs as possible. Being foodies, James and Louisa have a restaurant list they are slowly attempting to tick off.

CHRIS SALACINSKI

CHARTERED FINANCIAL PLANNER

Chris initially started his career with UBS before joining Adam at Dragonfly and subsequently Jarrovian. Chris works with like-minded people, seeking to help them grow not just financially but holistically by acting as a mentor and lifestyle coach. He believes this helps build long term, trusted relationships with his clients.

Chris is a director of our Wealth business and sits on the Group board along with the Sales & Marketing Committee where he has a focus on social media output.

Chris spends as much of his spare time as possible with his wife Jo and their two boys, going on holiday whenever feasible. From time to time he manages to get out on the golf course although his handicap seems particularly resistant to change!

FRANK OXBERRY

BUSINESS DEVELOPER

Frank’s entire career has been in the financial service sector in a variety of roles including business development at Clarkson Hill as well as running his own practice at St. Martins Partnership. Frank spends the vast majority of his time working with fellow entrepreneurs and professional connections.

At Jarrovian, Frank sits on the Group board along with the Investment & Product Committee and the Sales & Marketing Committee. He is also head of our Chelmsford office.

Frank enjoys going on holiday with friends and family, watching Spurs or somehow fitting in a round of golf. Occasionally he manages to get across to France to see his horses, which he has a share in, race.

MAHFOOZ (MAZ) SHAMSUDDIN

CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER

Maz began his financial services career in the banking sector, working at HSBC and Citi before a 10-year stint at UBS Wealth Management, overseeing various projects of a technical and regulatory nature.

Maz is tasked with exploring, sourcing and implementing all of Jarrovian’s tech infrastructure solutions for all segments of the business, with a particular focus on all new initiatives.

At Jarrovian, Maz sits on the Group board and advises the Risk Committee around the implications of technology implemented within the Group.

Maz is married and enjoys being a Dad to two energetic sons, as well as general fitness and reading sci-fi novels, in particular Frank Herbert, Issac Asimov and Brandon Sanderson.

PROFESSOR PAUL PALMER DL PHD FCIS FIIA FRSH PFHEA DCHA

PHILANTHROPY ADVISER

Paul is a professor of Voluntary Sector Management, Cass Business School, City, University of London. He is Associate Dean and Director of the Centre for Charity Effectiveness, a Deputy Lieutenant for Greater London, and an external examiner for the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England.

Current charity trustee roles include Vice President of the Nonprofit Academic Centers Council; Chair of the Grant Making Committee of the Hospital Saturday Fund; Yellow Car Charitable Trust, Honorary Treasurers Forum, and the UK Community Foundation.

Paul is a Non-Executive Director at Jarrovian and sits on the Group Board and Risk Committee. He also advises our clients on their philanthropic activities.

In his spare time, Paul enjoys travelling with his wife Ros, attempting to tick off destinations from their bucket list, and watching Charlton Athletic.

TIM HINES

NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Although Tim is a qualified Chartered Financial Planner and member of the Personal Finance Society, most of his time now is spent working as a consultant to several UK financial planning organisations in the City and South East England. At Jarrovian, his role is to help us deliver exceptional service to our clients through providing support to the Directors and their team members, across a number of business crucial functions; in particular, service delivery, risk management, and strategy. He is a member of the Group Board, Risk, Investment and Product committees

In addition to being a practicing adviser, Tim has over 25 years of experience of managing teams and businesses in financial services retail activities and product distribution, believing that core to being a great company, is employing, training, and encouraging great people.

Tim is married with three children and enjoys family time, village life and the occasional glass of good wine.

GERRY PROBETT

FINANCIAL PLANNER

Gerry’s career started with Prudential before moving to Teachers Assurance, running a team that covered the south of England. In 2001 Gerry joined a family run firm in Surrey. As his client numbers continued to grow from his clients’ recommendations, Gerry wanted to expand the offerings available to his clients in a more progressive business and found Jarrovian fit his requirements.

Gerry’s focus is on planning for entrepreneurs and those seeking to define what retirement means to them.

At Jarrovian, Gerry sits on the Sales & Marketing Committee with a particular focus on business development with professional connections.

For relaxation Gerry enjoys watching cricket, especially Test cricket, reading science fiction, and spending time with his wife Lesley in Devon, by the sea.

TONY FIELDS

CHARTERED FINANCIAL PLANNER

Over the years Tony has worked in a variety of roles alongside private clients, SME’s, Multi-Nationals and professional connections. Prior to Jarrovian he was running a successful business for NFU Mutual.

Tony felt Jarrovian was an excellent cultural fit, joining due to Jarrovian’s client-centered ethos.  Tony strongly believes that financial services does not have to be complex and really enjoys using his insight and expertise to provide clarity and ultimately to help clients achieve their life goals.

In his spare time, Tony and his wife Melissa have their hands full with three young children.  They enjoy riding their bikes and exploring the outdoors together as a family.  We sometimes have to remind Tony that he is no longer in his 20’s as he does still enjoy competing in the odd triathlon, and the very occasional round of golf.

JONATHAN (JON) GOODFELLOW

FINANCIAL PLANNER

A Leeds University law graduate, Jon initially worked in legal and technical support roles for insurance companies before progressing onto professional pensioneer trustee roles. After a career based in the City, Jon spent time in Cambridge, working in close collaboration with the University Senate, Colleges, and medical research facilities at nearby Addenbrookes Hospital.

Jon is a highly capable financial planning professional with extensive experience in the provision of complex corporate and personal advice for entrepreneurs and the proprietors of family businesses, farming groups & landed estates.

Married to Frances, now the children have fled the nest, they enjoy the rural life whilst Jon maintains his longstanding interest in most sports, particularly cricket, although this is now generally restricted to spectating!

FRANCESCA SMITH

PRIVATE OFFICE CLIENT RELATIONSHIP MANAGER

Frankie joined Jarrovian upon graduation from Exeter, and subsequently successfully completed the Diploma in Financial Planning through the Jarrovian Development Programme. This led to Frankie being appointed Client Relationship Manager for Jarrovian’s  Private Office. Her desire to pursue a career in financial planning stems from her personal experience of a lack of meaningful financial education available for young people.

As well as introducing younger clients to Jarrovian, Frankie has become an advocate for Women in Finance and specialises in developing relationships with aspiring female entrepreneurs and professionals.

In her spare time, Frankie is a trustee of the From Me To You charity and enjoys socialising, travelling, horse riding and running. She’s a lover of wine and cheese and known to be partial to the occasional glass of champagne!

DIANA THORNTON

RELATIONSHIP MANAGER

Diana’s career in financial services started at Bacon & Woodrow, which developed her knowledge and experience within the pensions sphere, leading to her promotion to team leader supporting the financial planning consultants. Diana started working with James in 2014 to help manage the growth of the business, and subsequently moving with James to Jarrovian.

Diana is married to Richard and they have three children. Most weekends see Diana on the sideline of a football pitch somewhere cheering on her son and daughter. Diana tries to keep fit in her spare time and loves socialising with friends over a glass of wine or two! She also loves her holidays!

MALIYA PRICE

RENUMERATION & SHARE PLAN SPECIALIST

Maliya has over 30 years experience in the Reward/HR space ranging from start-ups to advising FTSE100 companies. She takes a pragmatic approach to reward design, ensuring any implementation has ease of maintenance and practical application in mind. Her experience covers a broad spectrum of Reward: pay modelling, incentive design, implementation and administration of employee share schemes including HMRC valuation approvals, scheme registrations, and trust set ups.

When not out enjoying cocktails with friends, Maliya can usually be found in her kitchen making sourdough bread, homemade jams and good old fashioned home cooking. If the sun’s out and she’s not in her kitchen, she’s probably out at her allotment.

MATTHEW (MATT) SCOTT

CLIENT ADMINISTRATOR

Matt’s interest in financial services started whilst studying business studies at college. After college he took part in a two-year apprenticeship programme in financial services before joining St Martins Partners as the main support for the financial planners. Matt moved to Jarrovian to further his career and is currently studying for his diploma in financial planning as part of Jarrovian’s Development Programme.

Away from the office Matt enjoys socialising with family and friends. He is also a keen sports enthusiast, playing football and being a season ticket holder at West Ham United.

EMMA DEUCHARS

CLIENT ADMINISTRATOR

Emma joined Jarrovian after graduating from Exeter with a degree in Politics and International Relations. Her interest in wealth management was sparked by the impact of domestic and international politics on individual personal financial circumstances. Her aim is to be able to help people understand and navigate these changes.

Emma is currently studying for her diploma in Financial Planning as part of Jarrovian’s Development Programme.

When not at work Emma enjoys going to the gym and runs often enough that she believes she should definitely be faster by now! She enjoys socialising with friends and is also partial to the odd G&T.

 

ROBIN BARTON-JONES

CLIENT ADMINISTRATOR

After graduating with a Business Management degree, Robin started his career working as a Relationship Manager for Lloyds Bank in Hertfordshire. Robin then joined James at CFWM, before moving across to Jarrovian. He continues to seek professional development in his career, working towards further exam successes.

Robin thrives on client interaction and is always seeking ways to ensure that they receive the best possible service.

Robin is married to Carolina. They love travelling to visit new places, with the Caribbean being a favourite. In his spare time, Robin likes to cycle to keep fit and is a season ticket holder at Spurs.

 

JACK TAILBY

CLIENT ADMINISTRATOR

Jack joined Jarrovian in 2018 as our first placement student. After completion of his degree in International Banking and Finance at Sheffield Hallam University, Jack returned as a permanent member of staff, with a place on Jarrovian’s Development Programme.

Jack’s interest in financial planning originated from observing at close quarters the limited financial education available to professional athletes, particularly those in the world of football.

In his spare time, Jack enjoys socialising with friends. He is also an avid Leicester City supporter and tells us that he enjoys watching a lot of high-quality football apparently due to this allegiance!

KIM BROWN

ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT

Kim’s career started within the legal sphere, first working for the Magistrates’ Court Service in the North East, before moving to London to become a legal secretary, gaining invaluable experience as PA to the senior partner of a large law firm in Hertfordshire.

Kim began working with James and the rest of the St Albans team in 2015, subsequently coming across to Jarrovian when the two businesses merged.

ISABELLA GOODE

ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT

Isabella is currently studying Finance & Accounting at Anglia Ruskin University London, whilst also gaining valuable work experience working part-time at Jarrovian.

Her financial interest was first kindled whilst studying maths and further maths at school. She joined James and the St Albans team in 2018 and moved to Jarrovian with the rest of CFWM.

Outside of work, Isabella represents Great Britain in cable wakeboarding and is the current British Ladies Open Champion! This high level of competition ensures that she gets to see many different parts of the world in order to compete.

DAVID (DAVE) BARNARD

SENIOR COMPLIANCE MANAGER

Prior to moving to the financial planning sector, Dave spent 35 years at HSBC in a variety of roles. He is our Senior Compliance Manager, working closely with our external compliance support and partner companies to ensure that our rigorous standards of advice are not only maintained, but improved where possible.

At Jarrovian Dave sits on the Risk Committee and ensures that everyone’s continuing professional development is relevant and up to date.

In his leisure time, Dave enjoys travelling , particularly within the UK, and is a keen follower of both Queens Park Rangers FC and Yorkshire County Cricket Club.

CLAIRE ANSTEE

FINANCIAL CONTROLLER

Claire has many years’ experience in office management and financial administration, having worked within both financial services and the charity sector. She is a highly organised accomplished bookkeeper and a huge fan of a good trial balance and a well-constructed spreadsheet!

Outside of work, Claire is a whirlwind of activity, being the Treasurer and Trustee of the Barbican Playgroup and the founding chair and now trustee of the Friends of the Guildhall Art Gallery.

Claire loves walking, yoga, spending time with her three daughters and three grandchildren, drinking wine, and eating out with friends. She’s also determined one day to pass her grade five piano exam!
