Over the years, Graeme has gained a broad spectrum of knowledge within the financial services sector across a variety of roles, including accountancy, Wealth Management, Financial Planning and major UK life companies.
Graeme’s qualifications include Chartered Financial Planner, Private Client Investment Management, Certified Financial Planner, Investment Management Certificate and BA Politics and International Studies.
Graeme joined UBS Wealth Management, heading up their intermediary offering. He uses the knowledge he has acquired to help fellow entrepreneurs understand how to use all of the levers they have at their disposal to accelerate the growth rate of their businesses, so that these businesses not only survive but thrive and flourish.
At Jarrovian Wealth, Graeme is responsible for managing the business. Graeme is a member of the investment committee and has responsibility for implementing Jarrovian Wealth’s strategic direction.
When not working Graeme can often be found on a course, with Cheltenham and Ascot being particular favourites, or at St. James Park, hoping that one day the boat will come in for Newcastle.
Adam has spent most of his life working in the financial services industry, starting at Barclays in 1984. Since then Adam has managed his own business, Dragonfly Planning, before merging his firm with Kubera Wealth 4 years ago. Adam focuses on assisting families achieve their Goals and Objectives, and providing services delivering Wealth Preservation & Management, Risk Mitigation and associated services. Adam works alongside other professionals and Investment Institutions, providing perspective, clarity, reassurance and education where appropriate acting as the gatekeeper to our client’s affairs with impartiality.
Adam holds the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning.
In his spare time Adam spends time with his partner and two daughters, and enjoys travelling, wine, art rugby, sailing and the occasional round of golf.
Chris began his career after graduating from Loughborough University in 2003. He is a Chartered Financial Planner and has spent most of his career in the financial services industry, initially working at UBS, before moving into the Financial Planning industry 11 years ago. Chris joined Adam at Dragonfly Planning in 2012, and worked alongside Adam whilst at Kubera Wealth. Chris works with like-minded people, to help them grow both financially as well as holistically, acting as a mentor and lifestyle coach. He feels this helps build long term, trusted, relations with clients.
As well as advising clients, Chris sits on the investment committee, as well as heading up Jarrovian’s social media unit.
Chris spends most of his spare time with his wife and two boys, going on holidays when he can. From time to time, he also manages to get out on the golf course although the handicap never seems to come down.
Maz began his career in banking after graduating from South Bank University in 2000. He has a wide range of banking experience, covering stints at HSBC and Citi. Before starting at Jarrovian Wealth, Maz was a Director at UBS Wealth Management where he worked for 10 years as a Business Manager on various corporate projects, both regulatory and technical in nature.
At Jarrovian Wealth, Maz is the company’s Compliance Officer and sits on the investment committee, as well as exploring and implementing the ‘tech’ infrastructure solutions. This means he is heavily involved in all aspects of our business, with a particular focus on dealing with all new initiatives from a policy, process, and procedures perspective.
Maz enjoys general fitness and reading science fiction novels in particular Frank Herbert, Isaac Asimov and Brandon Sanderson.
Julie’s career started with HMRC as a Tax Officer, before moving into an advisory role within the tax department of a Chartered Accountancy firm. Her interest in the Financial Services sector began when she assisted with the setup of a subsidiary Financial Advisory Service. This resulted in a career spanning 27 years with Sun Life and AXA Wealth, specialising in the personal tax and trust arena. Julie’s passion of trusts and her knowledge of tax and estate planning solutions allow her to create workable strategies and explain, in simple terms, the aspects and outcomes of appropriate structures and legal services.
Julie enjoys travelling, food, drink and good company.
Paul is Professor of Voluntary Sector Management, Cass Business School, City, University of London. He is an Associate Dean and Director of the Centre for Charity Effectiveness. Paul is a Deputy Lieutenant for Greater London. He has been Independent Charity Consultant since 2002 with UBS Bank. He is an External Examiner, since 2008 with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England.
Charity Trustee roles include Vice President of the Nonprofit Academic Centers Council; Chair of the Grant Making Committee of the Hospital Saturday Fund; Trustee of the Yellow Car Charitable Trust; Trustee of the Honorary Treasurers Forum; Trustee of the UK Community Foundation. Previous roles have included Member of the Advisory Council of UN PRME; Member of the Chartered Securities Institute Ethics Advisory Panel and past President of the Royal Society for Public Health.
Paul sits on Jarrovian Group board and the Risk and Compliance Committee.
James’ career started in 1998 with a specialist pensioneer trustee. Qualifying in 2005, James decided that helping clients create their financial life plan was the best use of his talents, moving in 2007 to Clydesdale Bank in their Private Wealth Management division, advising high net worth individuals and corporate clients.
When Clydesdale suddenly decided to close their wealth management business. James’ strong sense of duty of care towards his clients meant that they were not left without the guidance they required, building CFWM, to reflect his own client-centric ethics and principles. James had previously spent time looking for a business partner, that crucially shared the culture and values of CFWM. After much due diligence, James and the CFWM team joined everyone here at Jarrovian in 2020.
James has a strong focus on financial life planning for entrepreneurs and those seeking assistance mapping out what life holds after work tapers off or ceases altogether.
James and Louisa have two children. When not being taxi driver Dad, he somehow finds time to follow Spurs, go to the gym and fit in as many gigs as possible. Being foodies, James and Louisa have a restaurant list they are slowly attempting to tick off.
Graduating from Exeter, Francesca joined Jarrovian Wealth in 2017. She was appointed Client Relationship Manager of the Private Office for High Net Worth clients after successfully completing her Diploma in Financial Planning through the Jarrovian Graduate Programme.
Her desire to pursue a career in financial planning originated from her own personal experience of a lack of financial education available for young people in how to handle their finances. Since joining the team at Jarrovian, as well as introducing younger clients to the business, she has also become an advocate for Women in Finance. Francesca has specialised in developing relationships with aspiring female entrepreneurs and professionals.
In her spare time, she enjoys socialising, travelling, horse riding and running. She is known to be partial to the odd glass of champagne and a lover of wine and cheese.
Emma graduated with a First Class Degree in Politics and International Relations, from Exeter University, in 2019. Her Interest in financial planning was sparked by the affect domestic and international politics is beginning to have on the financial reality of individuals at a personal level. She hopes to be able to help people understand and navigate these changes.
When she’s not at work Emma enjoys going to the gym and runs often enough that she should definitely be faster by now! She is also partial to the odd gin and tonic.
Jack joined the team in 2018, as our first placement student. After completing his degree in International Banking and Finance at Sheffield Hallam University, Jack returned as a permanent member of staff, to a position on the company’s development programme.
Jack’s interest in financial planning originated from observing the limited financial education available to professional athletes, especially those in the world of football.
In his spare time, Jack enjoys socialising with friends. Being an avid Leicester City fan, he also enjoys apparently watching a lot of high-quality football.
Matt started his interest in the finance industry while studying business studies at college. He then took part in a two-year apprenticeship program in financial services where he worked closely with various financial planners. Following the apprenticeship program, Matt joined St Martins Partners in 2016 as a key point of support for several financial planners, and then Jarrovian Wealth in 2020. Matt is currently studying for a diploma in financial planning.
Away from the office Matt enjoys spending time with family and friends. He is also a keen sports enthusiast enjoying and participating in football and is a season ticket holder at West Ham United.
Diana started in financial services in 1995 working for Bacon & Woodrow, who became Hewitt Associates. Diana developed her product knowledge and experience within the pensions market and became a Team Leader in 1998, leading a team of administrators supporting technical staff and financial planning consultants.
Diana gained her Full Financial Planning Certificates (FPC) in 2001.
Diana joined a local St Albans Financial Planner in 2010 working part time until she made the career move to Client First Wealth Management (CFWM) in July 2014 to help grow the business, and finally to Jarrovian Wealth in 2020.
Robin started his career working for Lloyds Bank as a Relationship Manager at various branches in Hertfordshire over the course of 18 years, followed by 3 years at Client First Wealth Management (CFWM) and then joining Jarrovian Wealth in 2020. Whilst working at Lloyds Robin became FPC level 3 qualified and a competent advisor. Robin graduated with a BA Hons Business Management degree from the University of Derby.
Robin always wants to give clients the best service and enjoys client interaction. He is looking to develop client relationships at Jarrovian Wealth and is working towards being level 4 qualified.
Kim is from a legal background having worked for the Magistrates’ Courts Service in the North East. Kim moved to London and worked as a legal secretary before gaining invaluable experience as PA to the Senior Partner of a large law firm in Hertfordshire.
Kim joined Jarrovian Wealth in 2020, having previously worked at Client First Wealth Management from 2015.
David spent 35 years at HSBC before leaving in 2011. He is our Senior Compliance Manager, and works closely with our external compliance support and partner companies to ensure our rigorous standards of advice are maintained.
David enjoys travelling – particularly in the UK – and is a keen follower of Queens Park Rangers Football Club and Yorkshire Cricket Club.
Maliya has over 30 years of experience in the Reward/HR space, ranging from start-ups to advising FTSE 100 Remuneration Committees on Executive awards.
Having worked across a variety of sectors, Maliya takes a pragmatic approach to reward design, ensuring any implementation has ease of maintenance and practical application in mind. Her experience covers a broad spectrum of Reward: pay modelling; incentive design; implementation and administration of employee share schemes including HMRC valuation approvals, scheme registrations, and trust setups.
When not out enjoying cocktails with friends, Maliya can usually be found in the kitchen making sourdough bread, homemade jams, and good old home cooking – if she’s not in the kitchen, she’s probably out at her allotment.
Mike began his career as an Aeronautical Engineer before switching to the financial services sector in 1995, working initially at first Commercial Union and then progressing to Century Life and Liberata where he led the business support team until 2006. At this point he switched to the advisory sector rising to manage the private client team for a London based financial planning company before joining Jarrovian to manage the paraplanning team as well as sitting on the investment committee.
When not working, Mike spends his time at home with his wife and three children or in his workshop tinkering with gadgets or trying to invent something new.
